HOMEMADE ICE CREAM

 TIPS

 FOR GEL PAK ICE CREAM MAKERS

1. Always have mixture cold before freezing. 

2. Add vanilla and other flavorings just before freezing for maximum flavor.

3. Do not add nuts or fruit until mixture is almost frozen.

4. Recipes using egg yolks, rather than the whole egg, give a creamier texture.

5. Use any kind of fruit.  Crush it, remove skin, seeds, etc.  Cover with confectionary sugar.  Let it sit for at least an hour. Chill it.  About 3/4 cup is fine for a quart of ice cream.
