MIKE'S FRUIT CORDIALS

I combined ideas from several simple recipes and came up with this.
I have used plums and apricots with very good results.

YOU NEED:
PLUMS or APRICOTS or PEACHES
enough to make 8 cups when washed, pitted, and cut into pieces.

SUGAR 4 1/2 cups

VODKA about 6 1/2 cups
(this is a little less than a 1.75L bottle. Use the cheapest vodka you can find.)

a wide-mouth gallon jar.

1. Put the fruit and sugar in the jar. Mix.
2. Pour in vodka to about 1 inch from top. Mix.
3. Cover tightly. Put in dark place.
4. Stir daily for first 3 days.
5. Wait three months.
6. Strain. (squeeze all you can get out of the pulp)
Let stand 24hrs.
The pulp from apricots and peaches is good on ice cream.
(you might not like the plum skins)
7. Decant into bottles to get rid of any sediment.

BEER MARGUERITA

This sounded like a waste of beer (to me); but it is good.

frozen limeade
tequila
12 oz beer

Cut the can of limeade in half.
(put 1 piece back in freezer for next time).
Put the limeade in a blender.
fill the 1/2 limeade can with tequila; put in blender
Add beer. Blend until frothy.
